The rundown

About Perry

Perry gets folded into Brigham City in conversation, and for a buyer that is a mistake worth avoiding. It is a separate city with its own zoning, its own permitting, and its own utilities. Two houses that look like neighbors can sit on opposite sides of that line and be governed by two different city halls.

The town runs in a narrow strip between I-15 and the mountains, which gives it a distinct shape. Along the old highway you get the orchard frontage and the fruit stands that this stretch is known for. Move east and the ground climbs into Perry Canyon, and that bench is where a good share of the newer building has happened. Lots up there tend to be newer with more slope and more view. Down on the flat you find older ground, some of it still in fruit or pasture, on larger parcels.

Because it is small, inventory here is thin in any given month. If Perry specifically is what you want, it is worth having a search running rather than checking in occasionally, because the right listing tends not to sit.
